TRACK 6: General Contracting
The Waldinger Corporation
Monty is a project manager in the Mechanical Department of the Waldinger Corporation in their Des Moines branch. With over 24 years in the mechanical industry and a very diverse project portfolio, ranging from industrial process plants to multi-tenant housing, there isn’t much he hasn’t seen. His experience and expertise include managing budgeting, pre-construction processes, mechanical installation labor, scheduling, procurement, safety, closeout and warranty on projects. He is also usually directly involved in the commissioning efforts on his projects.
Monty’s goals on every project are to find new and better processes to make projects more efficient and make sure that the project is a positive experience for all parties involved – from the field installation staff to the end user.
He is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He also holds completion certificates from the MCAA Institute for Project Management and the ABC Project Management Academy at Purdue University. He is also actively involved in the local chapters of Mechanical Contractors Association, DBIA and Lean Community of Practice.
