Steve is the President, “Head Coach”, of KPost Roofing and Waterproofing and one of three founding partners of KPost, along with Keith Post and Jayne Williams, in November 2003. Steve manages the day to day business of KPost, as well as the “KPost” brand. Steve is also the CEO, Managing Partner, and Founder of National Roofing Partners (NRP), a nation-wide partnership of commercial roofing contractors. NRP partners service regional and national clients, group purchasing contracts, and share best business practices. NRP partners have a national footprint of over 140 locations, 10,000+ employees, and manage more than $1 billion in annual collective revenue. Prior to starting NRP, Steve was the architect of RoofConnect (2001) the original concept for roofing companies to band together to service clients through a national footprint. He currently serves as a board member of the Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3) and on various NRCA committees. He is also a member of RoofPAC, NRLRC, International Risk Managers Institute (IRMI), TEXO, Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA). Steve is a past President and former board member of Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA), former board member of TEXO, and CIOAC. Steve and his wife Pam live in Las Colinas, TX. They have two adult children and four grandchildren.

Technological Innovations in Roofing

Technology is pushing everyone in construction to re-examine how they do business, the roofing industry is no exception. An expert group of panelists who have implemented new technological trends leads a discussion on the impact those trends have had on their businesses and how others can reap the benefits while avoiding the pitfalls typically associated with early adoption. Tools intended to help with everything from recruitment to operations to the jobsite and more will be discussed.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Identify the technologies that are having the greatest impact on the industry.
  2. Explain the challenges associated with each technology and how they can be overcome.
  3. Provide examples of the benefits to implementing new technologies.
  4. Accurately vet vendors to ensure products and services fit the required role.
